“Started in 1984, the excavation and the restoration of this remarkable transepté monument were completed in 1985.
Scourings, along the cairn (stone or ground monticule) on the sides North and East provided essential information on the structures and affinities of the site.
They make it possible to note that the plan of the monument is quadrangular D approximately 11 meters of with dimensions. |
The excavation of the megalith of Joselière with shown a new megalithic facet of the style called “to transept” of this area. Far D to be stereotyped this architecture is, on the contrary, very variable; what surprises here C is the strict quadrangular form of the cairn and its dimensions reduced to rightest around D an internal building which is well developed.
The four side rooms, of dimensions almost equivalent give a very important sepulchral capacity of share and D another D a single corridor. “
